Annie B. Lee

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Annie B. Lee, age 93, of Ellaville, GA died Wednesday morning, September 14, 2011 at her residence. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Ellaville Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Ellaville City Cemetery. Rev. Ben Foxworth, Rev. Peter Vermuelen and Rev. Joey Lee will officiate.
Mrs. Lee was born January 3, 1918 in Schley County, GA, the daughter of Annie Lumpkin Battle and Robert E. Battle. She ran a beauty shop in Ellaville and worked at Manhattan Shirt Company until her retirement. Mrs. Lee was a member of Ellaville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Lee who died November 25, 1963. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Lee Blankenship of Plains, GA, Becky Lee Phillips of Ellaville; three sons, Robert E. Lee and wife Gracie of Blackshear, GA, Henry E. Lee and wife Gloria of Ellaville, Lonnie Lee and wife Sheila of Beech Island, SC. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a son, James Richard Lee and a grandson, Robbie Lee.
Pallbearers will include Bob Johnson, Brian Johnson, Dan Dillard, Donald Battle, Jerry Battle, and Eugene Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Lydia Sunday School Class of Ellaville Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 16, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA.
