Mrs. Annie Sue Workman, 87, of Hull, GA, formerly of Cusseta, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Manor Lake Assisted Living in Athens, GA. A graveside service will be held at 12:00PM CST at Red Bay Cemetery in Red Bay, FL, on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 2:00-4:00PM EST.

Mrs. Workman was born in Red Bay, FL, on March 3, 1938, to Dietrich Ingram “D.I.” and Carrie Annie Bell Adkinson. Baptist by faith, Mrs. Workman attended Cusseta First Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and making miniature crosses as gifts. An avid gardener, Mrs. Workman was always planting new flowers and thoroughly enjoyed pulling weeds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Thomas Alva Workman, a daughter Rebecca Sue Smith; a granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn McLemore, three brothers and a sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Valitzski and her husband, Thomas of Hull, Georgia and Debra Cosby and her husband, Bo of Cusseta, GA; a son, Thomas Joseph Workman of Cusseta, GA; one sister, Bennie Jean Hunter; 6 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Way-Watson Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, Georgia has been entrusted with these arrangements.
