Barbara Ann Dykes, a beloved resident of Americus, Georgia, passed away on January 31, 2026, at Perfect Care in Americus. A private memorial service will be held by her family.

Born on September 27, 1945, in Americus, Georgia. Ann was the daughter of the late William and Ethel Dykes. She graduated from Byrnes High School in Welford, South Carolina. Ann was previously married to the late Herman Everett Blocker, with whom she shared her five children. She is preceded in death by her brother, Dan Dykes.

Ann was known for her soft-spoken nature, gentle heart, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Above all, she was a devoted and strong single mother who poured her heart and soul into raising her children. Her sweetness, quiet strength, and unwavering love will be cherished forever.

Survivors include her five children, Tracy Blocker and his wife, Kristine, Debbie Ansley and her fiancé, Darrell Felker, Troy Blocker and his wife, Missy, Bill Blocker and his wife, Kelly and Brad Blocker and his wife, Sharon; She is also survived by her sisters, Gloria West; along with her grandchildren, McKay Ansley, Michael Ansley, Logan Felker (Mady), Trey Blocker (Alayna), Blake Blocker, Brayden Blocker, Lauren Blocker, Landon Blocker, Kylie Aldridge, and Hunter Aldridge; and several nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff and Perfect Care for their unwavering compassion, patience, and attentive care during Ann’s final years.
