Beatrice Cook

Beatrice Louise Cook, 88, of Buena Vista, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Taylor County Health and Rehab in Butler, GA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at New Providence Baptist Church with Rev. David Chapman officiating. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA, on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 5:00-7:00PM.

Mrs. Cook was born on December 23, 1936, to Herman Covington and Mittie Huff Covington. She was a devoted member of New Providence Baptist Church and was in the Senior Adult Sunday School class. A homemaker, Mrs. Cook loved keeping children and babies in her home. She had the patience of Job and enjoyed cooking. In her later years, she really liked shopping for shoes and purses. Mrs. Cook loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Norman Ray Cook, by her son, Randy Cook, and by four brothers.

She is survived by two sons: Don and Dorothy Cook, Jessie and Sandy Cook; three daughters: Cecelia and Clifford Waller, Pam and Jay Jackson, and Samantha and Jason Spigner, and her sister, Linda Curlee. Mrs. Cook is also survived by her grandchildren: Brandy, Zoey, Haven, and Randi Kimbrell, Brent, Ashley, Peyton, and Harper Waller, Mandy Cook, Amanda, Daniel, and Liam Lesneski, Randall, Mandy, Maren and Lily Cook, Josh Spigner, Chelsie and Casey Barboza, Ben Cook, Rachel and Corey Trice, Alex Exum, and Ryan Exum.
