Betty Jean Teele

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Betty Jean Poole Teele, age 84 of Ellaville, GA, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Ellaville cemetery.  Rev. Jimmy Chapman and Rev. Mark Poole will officiate.

      Mrs. Teele was born August 10, 1932 in Schley County, Georgia and was the daughter of Tuck and Vivian Poole. She was a homemaker who loved working in her yard and gardening.  Mrs. Teele also loved camping and spending time with her family.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Teele is survived by one son, Berry H. Teele and wife, Janet of Ellaville; one daughter, Deborah Coker and husband Billy of Oglethorpe, GA; two brothers, Mark Poole and wife Shirley of Oglethorpe, GA, Mac Poole of Montezuma, GA; two sisters, Patricia Smith of Conyers, GA and Beth Barfield of Garden Valley, GA. Also surviving are grandchildren, Eric Lane, Ashley Coker and wife Tiffany, Lance Teele and wife Vicki, Caleb Teele and wife Jenni and great grandchildren, Shelby Lane, Austin Coker, Aiden Coker, Madison Coker, Tuck Teele, Jacey Teele, Ellie Mae Teele, Colton Teele and Rhett Teele.  Mrs. Teele was preceded in death by her husband, B. S. Teele and a brother, Larry Poole.

      Active pallbearers will include Eric Lane, Ashley Coker, Lance Teele, Caleb Teele, Butch Bulloch, and Oscar Harbuck.  Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

     Visitation will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.  Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, c/o Sheila Jones, P. O. Box 180, Cobb, GA  31735.
