Brenda Gail Rigsby

Mrs. Brenda Gail Teat Rigsby, 66, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, April 27. 2018, at Oakland Church of God with Rev. A.R. Curlee officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Oakland Church of God Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, April 26, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Rigsby was born in Butler, GA, on September 25, 1951, to Melven Teat and Willia Mae Bullard Teat. She was member of Oakland Church of God and had been employed as an inspector at Baby’s Dream. Mrs. Rigsby enjoyed working in the yard and helping her husband with his business. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  Mrs. Rigsby was a great mother and will be missed dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rickey F. Rigsby.

Survivors include a son, Michael Rigsby (Connie) of Tazewell; a daughter, Karen Rigsby Usry of Box Springs; a brother, Dudley Teat of Box Springs, GA; two sisters, Elaine Greene of Mauk, GA, and Melba Teat; three grandchildren, Jaxon Usry, Mazzy Usry and Brooke Rigsby; and several nieces and nephews.
