Mrs. Brenda Usry Todd, 79, of Ellaville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Perfect Care in Americus, GA. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Ellaville Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Smith officiating. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00AM.

Mrs. Todd was born in Ellaville, GA, on June 26, 1946, to John Littleton Barney Usry, Jr. and Thelma Willis Usry. She was a member of Ellaville Baptist Church and loved reading the Bible and going to Sunday School. Mrs. Todd dedicated her entire life to her children and her grandchildren. They were her world. A mother to all, nurturing came naturally to her, and she was an inspiration to many people over her lifetime. A “community counselor” of sorts, Mrs. Todd guided those in need, and anything told to her in confidence remained confidential. Her impact on the community persists. She worked as a supervisor for Spilene and later as the office manager at Perfect Care. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Calvin Usry, Harold and Geraldine Usry, Eugene and Peggy Usry, and Bobby Usry, and three sisters, Katherine and Bill Thomas, Mildred and Earl Dobbs, and Theodosia and Yogi Ybarra.

She is survived by her husband Dan Todd; by a son and daughter-in-law, Shayne and Gail Allegood; by a daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Davis English all of Ellaville, GA; a sister, Jean Hancock of Americus, GA; three grandchildren, Brent Allegood, Kaden English, and Waylon English. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
