Carolyn Ruth Stubbs, 79, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Magnolia Manor of Marion County.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Oakland Church of God with Rev. Mike Toomey officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 6-8PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Hudson, Adam Bullard, Brandon Bullard, Kristian Martinez, Lawrence Clark, and Frankie Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Fuller and Charles Fuller.

Mrs. Stubbs was born May 27, 1938, in Macalla, AL, to John William and Elma Gallaway Caffee, Sr. She was a member of Oakland Church of God. A homemaker, she was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Stubbs loved helping people and will be missed dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. P. Stubbs, by her daughter, Diane Hudson, two siblings, Bill Caffee and Opal Mitchell.

She is survived by four sons, Tom and Terry Kelly of Chino, CA, Michael Caffee of Mauk, GA, Mark Hudson of Box Springs, GA, and William and Kelly Kimbrell of Box Springs, GA; by two brothers, Harold and Sue Caffee of Cullman, AL, and James and Judy Caffee of Mulbury, AL; three sisters, Ruby Ramsey and Mary Hendrick of OK, and Hazel Hunley of Warner Robins, GA; four grandchildren, Tori Hudson, Greg Hudson, Jessica Kimbrell, and Kristina Kimbrell; by three step-grandchildren, Brandy Yarbrough, Frankie Clark, and Lawrence Clark; and one great-grandchild, Cadence Hudson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista is in charge of arrangements.
