Mrs. Catharine Lenora Whitley, 82, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Magnolia Manor of Marion County in Buena Vista, GA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Mauk Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 6:00-8:00PM.

Mrs. Whitley was born June 16, 1944, to Rance Uriah and Bessie Bell Stubbs. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener - known for the large tomatoes she grew in her garden. Mrs. Whitley loved her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard "Eli" Whitley, by her son Eric Steven Whitley and her daughter-in-law, Lanae Cook Whitley.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Jan Whitley of Buena Vista, GA; by a sister, Lorene Longino of Albany, GA; by her grandchildren, Chris Whitley (Chasatie), Ashley Whitley, and Ansley Whitley; and two great-grandchildren, Mia Kate Whitley and Maddie Brooke Whitley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services for the Whitley Family have been under the care and direction of Way-Watson Funeral Home.
