Mr. Vernie Chandler Haulk, Jr. 84, of Americus, GA, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Magnolia Manor of Americus. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Buena Vista Cemetery with Rev. David Hibberts officiating.

Mr. Haulk was born in Loganville, GA, on April 17, 1942, to Vernie Chandler Haulk, Sr. and Doris Dana Atha Haulk. Before his retirement, he was a Poultry Service Man with Tyson Poultry. A simple and quiet man, he kept to himself. He enjoyed walking and watching Braves baseball games. Mr. Haulk was a long-term resident of Magnolia Manor in Americus and the family appreciates the care that was given to him over the years by the staff.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin and Claire Haulk of Griffin, GA, and Jeremy Haulk of Buena Vista, GA; by a brother, Phillip Haulk; two sisters, Patricia Hogan and Donna Sue Bailey; and two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Rebecca.

Services for the Haulk Family have been under the care and direction of Way-Watson Funeral Home.
