Mr. Charles C. Horne, Jr, 76, of Box Springs, GA, passed away on Monday December 15, 2025, at his residence. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the Chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00PM. Military Honors will be rendered at 2:00PM.
Mr. Horne was born in Columbus, GA, on July 11, 1949, to Charles Carl Horne, Sr. and Edith Joiner Horne. He served honorably in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Mr. Horne worked for Carmike Cinemas in the maintenance department for over 20 years before his retirement. He was an active member of Fort Perry Fire Department in Marion County where he served as Assistant Fire Chief. An avid Florida State Seminole fan, he enjoyed cheering them on as well as hunting and fishing. Mr. Horne loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynne Ferrell Horne and his sister, Marlene Horne.
He is survived by his children, Charles Horne, III, Brian Ferrell (Jenny), Kevin Horne, Toby Horne, and Michael Ferrell; daughters-in-law, Stephanie Benedetti, Brandy Thomas, Christi Ferrell, Tanya Horne and Crystal Curbow; grandchildren, Alea Maddox (Eric), Sierra Barron (Michael), Katie Folds (Barrett), Cameron Allen, Madison Aderhold, Jada Mazingo, Keagan Smith, Makayla Ferrell, Brianna Ferrell, Nicolas Miller, Travis Horne, and Tyler Horne; great-grandchildren, Jensen Folds and Brayden Folds; a sister, Debbie Ward; a niece, Angie Horne; and a great-niece Skylar.
Way-Watson Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, Georgia has been entrusted with these arrangements.
