Claude L Forsythe

Claude Leonard "C. L." Forsythe, Jr., 81, died on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Oakland Church of God with Reverend Luke Forsythe and Reverend A. R. Curlee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Forsyth was born July 25, 1930, in Chattahoochee County, to Claude L. Sr. and Minnie Brooks Forsythe. He was self-employed transporting and repairing mobile homes. He was a member of Oakland Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Howard; by four sons, Glen Forsythe of Mauk, Daniel Forsythe of Hampton, GA, Charles Forsythe of Stockbridge, GA, and Shannon Forsythe of Hampton, GA; by two daughters, Alice Dresbach of Hampton, GA, and Gloria Carver; by three brothers, Reverend Luke Forsythe, Ralph Forsythe of TN, and Donald Forsythe of CT; and by a sister, Christine of CT. 16 Grandchildren also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
