Mrs. Clydia Marie Duhon, 87, of Americus, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Duhon was born on February 21, 1939, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Ernest and Bertha Snow. She retired from Civil Service with the United States Army and later worked with both Habitat for Humanity and The Salvation Army, continuing her lifelong desire to serve and help others.
Clydia was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured her family and loved spending time with them. She especially enjoyed hearing people sing hymns and gospel music, and her faith and love for the Lord were an important part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous siblings, to include her twin sister.
She is survived by her daughters, Victoria Cross (Tim), currently of Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania, and Cheryl Boyce (Bob) of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; her son, Ron Doremus of Spring Hill, Florida; five grandchildren, Jeremy Cross (Alyese), Sarah Cross Tanner (Justin), Jacob Cross (Emily), Steve Rowe (Jamie), and Matt Rowe; nine great-grandchildren, Jack Tanner, Riley Cross, Darby Tanner, River Cross, Wyatt Tanner, Hank Cross, Rhyan Cross, Lucas Rowe, and Jacob Rowe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The League of the Good Samaritan at Magnolia Manor in Clydia’s memory at https://www.magnoliamanor.com/league-of-the-good-samaritan
