CSM (Ret.) Thomas Alpheus "Al" Mott

CSM (Ret.) Thomas Alpheus “Al” Mott, 76, of Ellaville, passed away on January 6, 2023 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center.  Memorial services will be held at Bison Valley Lodge on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 9:00 AM.

CSM Mott was born February 10, 1946 in Bennettsville, SC to the late Loren Rodolph and Amanda Wright Mott.  During his school years, he enjoyed playing many different sports.  He then went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was also deployed to Germany and other stations, before retiring as Command Sergeant Major.  Upon retirement he enjoyed the country lifestyle and its simplicity.    

Survivors include his children, Todd Mott and his wife, Amy of Lakeville, MN and Loren Mott of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Griffin and Autumn Mott; two sisters, Evelyn Stembridge of Americus, GA and Cathy Colter of Huntsville, AL; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
