Daniel Edward Pye, 44, of Ellaville, passed away on September 7, 2026. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00PM with Pastor Clifton Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Ellaville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00PM.

Mr. Pye was born September 27, 1981, in Jesup, GA to Michael Barry, Sr. and Tina Landon Pye. He worked in the construction trade as a millwright for 25 years and most recently worked with Pro-Mod. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time with is family. Daniel enjoyed drag racing in his younger years and was a fan of University of Georgia football and NASCAR. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Charles Frank and Eddis Landon and his paternal grandparents, Rufus E. and Colleen Pye.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Tina and Matt Murphy of Ellaville; four siblings, Amanda Hoyle and her husband, Jeff of Odum, GA, Michael Pye, Jr. and his wife, Jamie of Jesup, GA, Renee Wainwright and her husband, Sidney of Americus, GA and Russell Murphy and his wife, Liz of Leslie, GA; an uncle, Jerry Landon and his wife, Judy of Jesup, GA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family also survive.
