Mrs. Debbie L. Emberton, 77, of Buena Vista, passed away peacefully at her home on September 12, 2026.

Mrs. Emberton was born September 17, 1948, in Loves Park, IL to Ralph Earl and Phyllis Brook Anderson Troy. She was a K-9 trainer for over 30 years, having trained drug and police dogs. Debbie had a love for her dogs like no other, and she also loved fish and had multiple tanks set up in her home. She loved the Florida Keys when she lived there for a few years and always loved going back to visit. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Emberton and a brother, David Troy.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael C. Emberton, Sr. and Sheri of Columbus, GA; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several close friends.
