Della Cheryl Sikes

Ms. Della Cheryl Sikes, 39, of Cusseta, GA, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Watson-Tante with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Sikes was born July 6, 1978, in Oregon City, OR, to John and Barbara Jones Sikes. An avid reader, she loved her daughter, Maelynn and was a good mother. She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Sikes of Cusseta, GA; by her beloved daughter, Maelynn Akins of Columbus, GA; by four siblings, Teresa and Jessie Smith of Cusseta, GA, Tracy John and Susan Sikes of Columbus, GA, Robin Scott and Donna Sikes of Dallas, TX, and Donald Dean and Andrea Sikes of Douglasville, GA.  Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Rd., Buena Vista, GA is in charge of arrangements.
