Dennis Joe Irvin

Mr. Dennis Irvin, 63, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 2:00PM at New Life Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church two hours prior to the service beginning at noon.

Mr. Irvin was born December 10, 1959, in Reynolds, GA, to Joseph and Daisy Hayes Irvin. He was a farmer and was employed by C-Land, Inc. Mr. Irvin enjoyed fishing, gardening, and especially loved to help others. Known by many as “Mr. Silver,” he could often be found sitting and talking to friends. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother and by his brother, Charlie Irvin.

He is survived by his companion, Tammy Jones of Mauk, GA; sons, Shawn and Christina Adams of Dahlonega, GA, Garrett and Vickie Harris of Dahlonega, GA, Scotty Joe and Jennie Irvin of Buena Vista, GA, and Jerel Irvin of Buena Vista, GA; a sister, Helen and J. C. Carlisle of Warner Robins, GA; a brother-in-law, Hoyle Cannon; and 8 grandchildren, Garrett Harris, Jr., Blake Harris, Colin Harris, Baylee Harris, Dixie Irvin, Harlie Joe Irvin, Logan Adams, and Kason Adams. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
