Edward Lawrence Belcher

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Edward Lawrence Belcher, age 64, of Ellaville, GA died Monday, July 20, 2015 at his residence.  Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, GA.  Bro. Troy Fripp will officiate.

      Mr. Belcher was born November 4, 1950 in Jacksonville, FL and was the son of the late Albert and Mary Belcher. He was a retired mechanic. Mr. Belcher served in the Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 191.  He was also a member of County Line United Methodist Church.  Mr. Belcher enjoyed fishing, gardening and riding the dirt roads.

     Survivors include his wife, Becky Belcher; one son, Anthony Belcher and wife Misty of Ellaville; two brothers, Larry Belcher and wife Mary of Ellaville, John Belcher and wife Annita of Ellaville; one sister Patricia Ann Hemperley of Bossier City, LA; and one sister in law Brenda Belcher of Smithsburg, MD.   Two grandchildren, Colby Belcher and Leslie Belcher along with several of nieces and nephews also survive. Two special survivors, his dogs, Max and Blackjack.  In addition to his parents Mr. Belcher was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Jean Kegebein; three brothers, Rick Belcher, Tony Belcher, Albert M. Belcher Jr.; and one brother in law, Alton Hemperley.

      Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Belcher, Brian Belcher, John Belcher, John M. Belcher, Augie Kegebein, Larry Belcher and Colby Belcher.

        Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
