Esmeralda Vail Mendez

Esmeralda Vail Mendez, 14, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Iglesia Jesus Es El Senor Church with Rev. Jose Resto officiating. Burial will follow the service in Buena Vista Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to service time beginning at 12:00PM.

Miss Mendez was born in Columbus, GA, on April 7, 2004, to Gabriel Angel Vail Perez and Eva Mendez Vazquez. A member of Iglesia Jesus Es El Senor Church, she sang in the church choir. She was a student at Marion County Middle/High School.  Esmeralda enjoyed singing, playing her flute, and spending time with her dog, Sol.  She was a loving person and was always the first to offer care and comfort in time of need. One of her favorite things to do was watch movies all day long.

She is survived by her parents, Gabriel Angel Vail Perez and Eva Mendez Vazquez, by her paternal grandparents, Gabriel Vail Cortez and Justa M. Perez Gonzalez, by her maternal grandparents, Fidel Mendez Romero and Irma Vazquez Lopez, and by two brothers, Wilfredo Vail Mendez and Santos Alejandro Vail Mendez. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
