Fay Walton

Ms. Eugenia Fay Walton, 81, passed away at St Francis Hospital on November 8, 2020 in Columbus, GA.  Visitation will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Andersonville United Methodist Church in Andersonville, GA; followed by funeral services at 11:00AM with Rev. Chris Wooden officiating. A private burial will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery.   Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reasonable social distancing should be maintained at all times, and the use of face masks is recommended.

     Ms. Walton was born January 15, 1939 in Roberta, GA to David and Omie Walton.  She had worked at Robins Air Force Base and then became the first female agent for Georgia Farm Bureau and retired after almost 40 years.  Ms. Walton enjoyed traveling and reading.  She was a very private person, but helped others quietly.  Ms. Walton was a member of Andersonville United Methodist Church.    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Greene, and two brothers, David Jewett Walton and Sonny Walton.

     Survivors include two sisters, Linda Newkirk of Little Rock, AR and Janet Walton (David) of Reno, NV; two nephews, Adam Duffy and David Jewett Walton, Jr.; and her beloved cat, "Sugar".
