Frances Heath Hunter

Mrs. Frances Heath Hunter, 87, of Ellaville, passed away on June 19, 2025. Graveside services will be held on June 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Troy Fripp officiating. Pallbearers will be William Jesse Hunter, Tyler Lavonn Hunter, James Edward Hunter, William Bennett Hunter, Shane Tondee, and Fred Smith.

Mrs. Hunter was born in Ellaville, GA, on August 8, 1937, to Charles and Pearl Johnson Heath. She was a member of Ellaville Baptist Church. Mrs. Hunter was a long-time member of the Ellaville Garden Club. She retired from the Schley County Board of Commissioners where she worked as the County Administrator for 38 years, as well as being a Magistrate Judge for 15 years during that time. Her favorite pastime was cooking, and she was wonderful at it. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward “Bill” Hunter.

Survivors include her sons, William Dale Hunter (Samantha Williams) of Ellaville; Charles Edward “Chuck” Hunter (Pam) of Eufaula, AL and Benjamin Heath Hunter (Victoria Lee) of Phenix City, AL; four grandchildren, William Jesse Hunter (Bre), Tyler Lavonn Hunter, James Edward Hunter (Suzanne), and Sarah Elizabeth Hunter; and three great-grandchildren, William Bennett Hunter, Alma Frances Hunter, and Scarlett Joyce Hunter.
