Frances J. Stuckey

ELLAVILLE, GA—Mrs. Frances Jones Stuckey, 91 of Ellaville, GA died, Friday, January 2, 2015 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM Monday, January 5, 2015 in Ellaville Cemetery.  Rev. Ray Allen and Rev. Chris Allen will officiate.

     Mrs. Stuckey was born June 22, 1923 in Ellaville, GA the daughter of Mae Fannie Jones and Keline Thomas Jones.  She had worked as a seamstress at Manhattan Shirt Company.  Mrs. Stuckey was a faithful member of Ellaville Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class and the JOY Club.

     Survivors include five daughters, Willene Smith and husband Morris of Americus, GA, Gloria Crumpton and husband Gerald of Americus, GA, Wynelle Holbrook of Richland, GA, Brenda Ingram of Baconton, GA, Shirley Montgomery of Ellaville; two sons, Ronnie Stuckey of Ellaville, Phillip Stuckey and wife Carla of Perry, GA. Also surviving are twenty grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren and twenty great great grandchildren.  Mrs. Stuckey was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Stuckey.

     Pallbearers will include Phil Stuckey, Bo Smith, Duane Montgomery, Kelly Holbrook, Timmy Bryan, Patrick Cromer, Glen Griffith, Cade Roby, Darrell Holbrook, Tim Holbrook and Jamie Griffith.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Lydia Sunday School class.

     A visitation will be held at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ellaville Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 325, Ellaville, GA 31806. 

     The family will be meeting at the home of Mrs. Shirley Montgomery, 90 Briarwood Drive, Ellaville, GA.
