Fred Sheridan

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Fred Sheridan, age 63, of Americus, GA died Monday, August 22, 2016 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home.  Father Martino Nguyen will officiate.  A visitation will be held on Tuesdayevening from 6:30-8:00 PM at the funeral home with a Rosary to follow. Burial will be private.

 Mr. Sheridan was born November 19, 1952 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Fred and Cleo Goforth.  He worked as a mechanic at Tyson Foods. Mr. Sheridan loved spending time with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed painting, camping, fishing, and football.  Mr. Sheridan was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  He was a board member for the Harvest of Hope Food Pantry.

      Mr. Sheridan is survived by his wife, Joann Sheridan of Americus; two sons, Nicholas Sheridan and wife Rebecca of Leesburg, GA Christopher Sheridan and wife Kristi of Smithville, GA; two daughters, Jennifer Hill and husband Eddy of Americus, GA, Kristi Sheridan of Macon, GA; three brothers, Larry Sheridan and wife Donna of Fort Scott, KS, Pat Sheridan and wife Jesse of Overland Park, KS, Jim Sheridan and wife Diane of Middlebrook, FL; one sister, Teresa Martin of Osawatomie, KS and one sister in law, Sue Sheridan of Butler, MO.  Also surviving are five grandchildren, Kelli Sheridan, Harrison Sheridan, Haylee Fowler, Addison Brumley, and Allison Cheely.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Sheridan was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Sheridan.
