Mr. Glen Sheldon Phillips, 57, of Ellaville, passed away on July 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Glen’s life will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 6:00PM at Overflow Worship Center in Ellaville with Pastor Will Rayburn officiating. The family will greet friends before the service, beginning at 5:00PM. The family would like to recognize as Honorary Pallbearers, Kevin Bentley, Tim Peavy, Alan Miller, Shane Tondee, Rusty Tondee, Jay Hilliard, Jody Dillard, Rodney Usry, Merle Diem, Bubba Toms, and Cody Robinson.
Glen was born March 4, 1968, to Leonard Averett and Brenda Evans Phillips in Columbus, GA. Glen was one of a kind. He loved life and could light up a room with his smile and personality. He never met a stranger. He loved his wife and family but most of all he loved Jesus and shared His love to everyone around him. His life is a testimony of God’s goodness and love. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Averett Phillips.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Heather Phillips of Ellaville; four loving daughters, Ansley Brown and her husband, Ryan of Ellaville, Haley Phillips Etmon and her husband, Marcell of Bali, Indonesia, Bethany Weaver and her husband, Ryan of Americus, and Abbie Peavy and her husband, Garrett of Warner Robins; his mother, Brenda Phillips of Ellaville; his brother, Greg Phillips and his wife, Denise; six grandchildren, Lainey Brown, Logan Brown, Noah Etmon, Kai Etmon, Wes Weaver, and Cullom Weaver; and a nephew, Averett Phillips.
Flowers will be accepted, or you may make a memorial contribution to the Ellaville Schley County Recreation Authority, PO Box 1144, Ellaville, GA 31806.
