Harold "Hal" Lynn Usry

Mr. Harold Lynn “Hal” Usry, 53, of Ellaville, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at his residence.  Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Clifford Braxton officiating.  Pallbearers will be Mike Callier, Cody Robinson, Tony Halstead, Shane Tondee, Fred Smith, and David Streetman. Friends are welcome to attend the service but must follow social distancing guidelines.

            Hal was born April 3, 1967 to the late Bobby Lynn and Vivien Benefield Usry in Americus, Georgia.  He worked as a dispatcher for the Schley County Sheriff’s Department for many years before retiring.  Hal loved spending time with his nieces and nephew and was always listening to music. The louder, the better!   

            Survivors include his brother, Bob Usry of Ellaville; three sisters, Cathy Usry of Ellaville, Brandy Stallings, and Shelley Taylor; a nephew, Jaxon Heath Usry; two nieces, Mazzy Rigsby Usry, Alexandria Morgan Stallings; three aunts, Jean Hancock of Americus, GA, Brenda Todd (Dan) of Ellaville, GA and Kathryn Thomas of Americus,GA; and numerous cousins and other family also survive.
