Harvey Arnold Whitley

Mr. Harvey Arnold Whitley, 69, of Buena Vista, GA, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, April 4, 2014, at Mauk Baptist Church with Reverend David McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow the service in Mauk Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 6-8 PM.

Mr. Whitley was born April 29, 1944, in Taylor County, GA, to Harold and Wilma Millirons Whitley. Baptist by faith, he was a member of Mauk Baptist Church. He was employed by Unimin Corporation as a Flotation Operator. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Whitley, a son, Kyle Whitley, and a brother, Ronnie Whitley

He is survived by his mother, Wilma Whitley; his wife, Cornelia Hope Whitley of Buena Vista, GA; a son, Lorne and Alicia Whitley of Butler, GA; two daughters, Elouisa and Tom McCants of Butler, GA, and Tonya and Bruce Davis of Juniper, GA; a brother, Larry and Elaine Whitley of Buena Vista, GA; Grandchildren, Wade and Katey McCants, April McCants, Hunter Davis, Kaili Whitley, Tiffany Whitley, Nikole Frazier, Sandy and Britnee Breedlove and two Great-Grandchildren, Haleigh Frazier and Kyson Breedlove.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
