Helen Vinyard Baker

Mrs. Helen Vinyard Baker, 74, of Cusseta, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside Hospital. A graveside funeral will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Harmony Cemetery in Cusseta, GA. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA, on Monday, December 4, 2023, from 5:00-7:00PM.

Mrs. Baker was born in Fayetteville, GA, on February 12, 1949, to William D. Vinyard and Mattie Lou Rowlls Vinyard Crockett. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Mrs. Baker loved animals, reading, crochet, and all types of music. She liked riding around on her golf cart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Joe E. Crockett, by her husband, James Andrew Baker, by a sister, Beatrice Ingram, her brother- and sister-in-law, Edward and Elaine Baker, a nephew, Daniel Ingram, and a great-nephew, Eddie Nelson.

She is survived by five daughters, Tami and Jerald Watson, Tonia and Tim Mullins, Martha and Robert McKinley, Michelle and Robbie Quarles, and Andrea and Shane Clayton; a sister, Dorothy Griffin; 16 grandchildren, Christin, Justin, Wesley, Cody, Avery, Tyler, Brandon, Hannah, Trevor, Georgia, Mattie, Logan, Lane, Shania, Kaden, and Dusty; 14 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.
