Mr. Hubert Franklin Barbaree, 83, of Panama City, FL, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, FL. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Ft. Perry Baptist Church Cemetery with James Watson officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30AM until 1:30PM.
Mr. Barbaree was born in Banks, AL, on September 28, 1937, to Hubert N. and Mattie Pearl Herring Barbaree. He retired from the railroad where he had worked as a locomotive engineer for Central of Georgia and Norfolk Southern. He loved fishing, farming, gardening, and especially his family. Mr. Barbaree served in the National Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, by his son, Hugh Barbaree, II, and by a daughter-in-law, Kelli Barbaree.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Barbaree of Panama City, FL; by five children, Joan Barbaree Rogers (Donald) of Panama City, FL, Paula Barbaree of Sylacauga, AL, Janena Barbaree of Celebration, FL, Jacob Barbaree of Fountain, FL and Tammy Barbaree of Fountain, FL; and by four grandchildren, Caleb Barbaree, Elizabeth Rogers, Olivia Rogers, and Daisy Barbaree.
