Hugh Howell Richardson

Our most loving father Hugh has passed. He was the rock of our family a truly great and loving man. Our dad loved God and his family above all things in his life, his wife Marie Teele Richardson (married for over 64 years), children Brenda and Stephen, grandchildren Melissa, Douglas, Katie, Alex, and Sam were his angels and were always in his thoughts.
Dad was a lifelong resident of Georgia, to him there was no place better on earth. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia. He absolutely loved airplanes and everything to do with them and was one of the original Lockheed employees at Air force Plant No.6 in Marietta where his career span 1951-91.
He was a member of our “Greatest Generation” serving honorably as a WW II Army veteran and was a true southern gentleman with a family history stretching back to the first European settlers to the Southern United States, which he was very proud.
He was a founding member of Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta, one of 13 families to start the church in 1961.
We can all take to heart that he lived a wonderful life and never gave up, his body just quit working. We love our father so much and It is comforting to know that he will always be looking over us and that he has moved on to a better place. Dad we will always love you!!
