Mr. James William Glisson, Jr., 93, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00PM EST on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Grace Free Will Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL, with Rev. Ricky Ward officiating. A private burial will be held at New Life Freewill Baptist Church in Box Springs, GA.

Mr. Glisson was born in Marion County, GA, to James Williams Glisson, Sr. and Mary Lizzy Stubbs Glisson. He enjoyed working and was a carpenter by trade. Mr. Glisson worked for R. L. Stahl Co. before his retirement. He enjoyed going to church and attended Grace Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. Mr. Glisson was always first to lend a helping hand to those in need, and it was his pleasure to do so. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Glisson, and a sister Joye G. Engram.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Lucille Bell Glisson; and his son, Terry Glisson, both of Phenix City, AL.
