Jane Daniel Bentley

Mrs. Jane Daniel Bentley, 52, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Fuller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Five Points Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 6:00-8:00pm.

Mrs. Bentley was born January 31, 1967, in Buena Vista, GA, to Ellwood “Dagwood” and Frances Welch Daniel.  Always smiling, she loved people and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Mrs. Bentley enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. She had a passion for cooking and serving others. Mrs. Bentley was a 1985 graduate of Tri-County High School. She had been employed at the Marion County Health Department for over 20 years, most recently as a WIC consultant. She was preceded in death by her father, Dagwood Daniel.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Bentley of Buena Vista, GA; by her mother, Frances Welch Daniel of Mauk, GA; by her son Rick Bentley of Buena Vista, GA; by two brothers, Pete and Diane Daniel of Buena Vista and Joseph “Stuckey” Daniel of Mauk; three sisters, Diane and Tom Wyrick, Nancy and Greg Smith, all of Mauk, and Doris Daniel of Mauk; by a brother-in-law Emmett Bentley of Buena Vista, GA; and her beloved pet, Sally. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
