Mr. Jewel Paul Peppers, 87, of Americus, passed away on February 17, 2026, at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Preston City Cemetery at 2:30PM. 

Mr. Peppers was born June 3, 1938, in Byron, GA to the late Jewel and Lessie Mae Odom Peppers. He was in the scrap metal industry for many years before his retirement. Mr. Peppers was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always happy and loved telling stories.

Survivors include his three children, William Peppers and his wife, Karen of Preston, GA, Eva Jewel Cosley of Thomaston, GA, and Judy Peppers of Thomaston, GA; a sister, Florence Cromer; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
