Mr. Jimmy Larry Wiggins, 80, of Buena Vista, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to service time beginning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mr. Wiggins was born in Buena Vista, GA, on April 22, 1945, to James A. and Mary Deavoures Wiggins. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver in the pulpwood industry. A jack of all trades, Mr. Wiggins could fix anything. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and driving his tractor. A Godly man, he was a member and deacon at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Mr. Wiggins loved his family, his church family, his country and veterans. He had a servant’s heart and enjoyed woodworking. He would often gift his creations to those he loved. Mr. Wiggins always stayed positive about his illnesses. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ammons Wiggins, a brother, William Lester Wiggins, and a sister, Penny Wiggins.

He is survived by his companion, Mary Jo Page; his son, Jimmy L. “Bucky” Wiggins, Jr.; his daughter, Laura Wiggins (Jeff Gordy); a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Cathy Wiggins all of Buena Vista, GA; grandchildren, Lauren Minor (Bo), C. J. Dudley, James Curtis Wiggins, and Davis Wiggins (Julianne); and three great-grandchildren, John Alan Minor, Dudley Marie Minor, and Mary Jacqueline Minor. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
