Johnny (Bud) Miller

Johnny V. “Bud” Miller, 79, of Buena Vista, GA, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Buena Vista Cemetery with Reverend Bruce Vaughn officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-8pm.

Mr. Miller was born June 12, 1933, in Marion County, to Johnnie T. and Lillie Curlee Miller. Methodist by faith, he was a member of Brantley United Methodist Church. He served in the Army and had been self-employed as a Barber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dixie Moore.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Alan and Sharon Miller of Ellaville, GA, and Keith Miller of Buena Vista, GA; by a special friend, Joyce Henson of Buena Vista, GA; by 3 brothers, Thomas and Linda Miller and Brick S. “Pop” and Gayle Miller all of Buena Vista, GA, Ronnie and Betty Moore of Woodstock, GA; by 3 sisters, Doris Ward of Americus, GA, Ruth Rush of Plains, GA, and Mary Mitchell of Zephyr Hills, FL.  2 Grandchildren, Andy Miller and Jilliann and Dusty Williams and 1 Great-Granddaughter, Ellie Louise Williams, also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
