Joseph "Big Joe" Wade Gallagher

Joseph “Big Joe” Wade Gallagher, 46, of Cusseta, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Cusseta First Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jack Wallace officiating.  Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Watson-Tante Funeral Home.

Mr. Gallagher was born November 18, 1970 to Robert and Patricia Headley Gallagher in Ft. Benning, GA. He was a member of Cusseta First Baptist Church.  Joe was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Georgia Bulldogs fan, and loved Metallica.  He was very involved in his family’s lives and loved spending time with them. Joe also enjoyed racing RC cars.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Gallagher and his mother, Patricia Gallagher.

He is survived by four sons Clay A. Barfield of Cusseta, GA, Joseph “Little Joe” A. Gallagher of Cusseta, Mark M. Lee of Columbus, GA, and Austin Wade Gallagher of Concord, GA; by a daughter, Bethany Skye Gallagher of Cusseta; his father Robert Gallagher of El Paso, TX; a brother, Troy Gallagher of Mauk, GA; a sister, Virginia Gallagher of Mauk, GA and by a grandchild, Kayleigh Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Rd., Buena Vista, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
