Obituary

Mr. Joshua David Hutchens, 28, of Ellaville, passed away on June 5, 2026. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Lifepoint Church, 384 GA-30, Americus, GA 31719 at 10:00AM with Rev. Bud Womack officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin Rockenhaus, Kyle Gravitt, Ty Barrett, Mason Apperson, Chase Patrick, Blake Howell, Chris Ricketts, Kendall Bollinger, and Chase Fox. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.

Mr. Hutchens was born December 18, 1997, in Americus, GA. He worked with Pike Electric as a Lineman. Josh loved spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding his side by side with his friends, but more than anything he adored his wife and children and making memories with them. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, W.T. Cromer and his maternal grandparents, Charles Bolton and Carla Bolton.

Survivors include his loving wife, Bethany Hutchens of Ellaville; three children, Kingston, Kane and Kymber; his father, David Hutchens; his mother and step-father, Amanda and Hugh Rooks; his sister, Taylor Hutchens; step-sisters, Kennadi Rooks and Naudia Rooks; sisters-in-law, Shelby (Tyler) Grimsley, Abbie James, and Paisley Hall; brothers-in-law, Luke Palowski, Owen Palowski, Andrew James and Lane Hall; paternal grandmother, Florence Cromer; and fathers and mothers-in-law, Ronnie and Rebecca Hall and Buck and Karen James.
