Judith Lassen

Mrs. Judith Patricia Lassen (Cotton Candy Lady), 73, of Cusseta, GA, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018, at Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Cusseta United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery in Cusseta. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:00pm until service time.

Mrs. Lassen was born October 3, 1944, in Lebanon, NH, to Guy and Rena Bailey. She had been employed as a cashier and manager at the Why Not Convenience Store. Mrs. Lassen was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She always had a smile and was eager to help people.  Mrs. Lassen loved watching NASCAR and baseball and playing softball.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jody Sears.

She is survived by her husband, William James Lassen, Sr. of Cusseta, GA; by her children, Falisa and Willy Herring of Columbus, GA, Patty Vincent of Vermont, Steven Lassen, William James Lassen, Jr., and Bobbie Jo Lassen, all of Cusseta, GA; seven grandchildren, Angel Lassen, Steven Lassen, Jr., Megan Lassen, Billy Lassen, Justin Lassen, Patricia Lassen, and Frank Lassen; and seven great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
