Karen A. Tubbs

Ms. Karen A. Tubbs, 79, of Americus, passed away on October 27, 2025, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1:00PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Bro. Stephen Fripp officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.

Ms. Tubbs was born December 22, 1945, in Sidney, OH to Floyd and Agnes Posey Stangel. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly, especially her children and grandchildren. Ms. Tubbs enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves every chance she could. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathon Powell, and her sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Earl Tallent.

Survivors include her children, Michael Tubbs and his wife, Irene of Hauser, ID, Heather Powell and her husband, Paul of Smithville, GA, and Daniel Tubbs and his wife, Gina of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a sister, Vanessa Wellons and her husband, Wes of Americus, GA; nine grandchildren, Morgan, Zoe, Trinity, James (Avery), Aaron (Jen), Naomi (Jeremy), Hayden, Dylan, and Jordan; two great-grandchildren, Briar and Blair; and niece and nephews, Ben Tallent (Amy), Shelly Harbuck (Bill) and Matthew Tallent.
