Mrs. Lavada Rigby, 74, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Magnolia Manor of Marion County in Buena Vista, GA. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery in Garden Valley, GA.

Mrs. Rigby was born in Atlanta, GA, on November 10, 1951, to Charles D. and Lena Leola Murrow Lacey. Baptist by faith, she was a member of Buena Vista First Baptist Church. Mrs. Rigby loved reading her Bible and doing word search puzzles. She enjoyed participating in all the activities that Magnolia Manor offered the residents. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Jake Rigby, by a great-grandchild, Caylee Fowler, a sister, Vicky Johnson, and a brother, Danny Wilson.

She is survived by her son, Kevin David Rigby (Christy) of Junction City, GA; by a daughter, Tracy Fowler (David) of Ivey, GA; a brother Wayne Ruff (Mary) of Macon, GA; a granddaughter, Terri Batchelor (Travis); three great-grandchildren, Jasper Batchelor, Selena Batchelor, and Sterling Pickerin; and her devoted friend and caregiver, Julie Taylor of Buena Vista, GA.
