Macie Earle Kirby Storey

Ms. Macie Earle Kirby Storey, 77, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at her residence. Graveside services will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dustin Kirby, Lee Barnes, James Barnes, Michael Kirby, Jonathan Barnes, Kyle Kirby and Michael Hamby. The family will greet friends at Watson-Tante Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Ms. Storey was born January 4, 1941, in Sommerville, AL to the late Nute Abner and Audie Dunaway Abner.  She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed camping and fishing, sitting on her porch and counting the trucks riding by.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James N. Kirby, two sons, James Larry Kirby and Timothy James Kirby, four grandchildren, Gerald Wayne Kirby, Jeffrey Randall Kirby, Little Brenda Kirby and Little Tony Kirby, two great-grandchildren, Asa and Eli Hamby and all of her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by three sons, Jerry Kirby (Cindy) of Littleton, NC, Gary Kirby of Buena Vista, GA, and Tony Kirby (Brenda) of Andersonville, GA; by two daughters, Regina Revette of Buena Vista, GA, and Rita Yanez of Plains, GA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Building Fund, 687 GA Hwy 30, Buena Vista, GA 31803.
