Mrs. Marilyn Dalton Canington, 60, of Mauk, GA, passed away on September 26, 2026. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista with Rev. David Chapman officiating.

Mrs. Canington was born September 30, 1965, in Habersham County, GA to Otis and Patricia Crocker Dalton. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandkids. Mrs. Canington had a special place in her heart for her dogs and loved them dearly. She loved to decorate her house, especially during the Christmas season as well as shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Patricia Crocker Dalton.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Canington of Mauk, GA; a son, Alfred Canington and his wife, Jessica of Mauk, GA; a daughter, Brandi Humphrey and her husband, Sean of Mauk, GA: four grandchildren, Aunna Canington, Alfred Canington, Jr., Hunter Humphrey, and Jason Humphrey; and several nieces and nephews.
