Martha Elizabeth Cook

       ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Cook, age 82, of Ellaville died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 18, 2015 in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home with burial in the Ellaville Cemetery.  Rev. Roy Cobb will officiate.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. 

     Mrs. Cook was born June 15, 1932 in Georgetown, GA the daughter of Moshi and Vera Lofton.  She was a homemaker.  Mrs. Cook loved puzzle books, collecting angels, and all her grandchildren who she enjoyed playing Nintendo with. She was a member of Free Chapel Assembly of God in Richland, GA. 

     Mrs. Cook is survived by three daughters, Juanita Collins and husband James of Cairo, GA, Shelia Summerall of Albany, GA, Ann Coleman and husband Donald of Ellaville; two sisters, Joyce Addison of Tifton, GA, Jean Rucker of Aurora, MO; one brother, Frank Lofton and wife Bootsie of Luthersville, GA. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Henry Cook, son, Johnny Wayne Cook, brother, Emmitt Lofton and sister, Devone Lofton.

     Pallbearers will include Caleb Summerall, Tommy Summerall Sr., Tommy Summerall Jr., Adam Mainor, Travis Holder and Neil Mooney.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434, Americus, GA  31709.  The family will be meeting at the home of Ann and Donald Coleman, 629 Ebenezer Road, Ellaville, GA.
