Martha N. Pratt

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Martha N. Pratt (Big Mama), age 72, of 629 Ebenezer Rd, Ellaville, GA died, early Friday morning, October 30, 2009 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home, 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 1, 2009. Rev. Chase Ostrander will officiate.
Mrs. Pratt was born May 2, 1937 in Lee County GA, the daughter of Daisy Lee Harden Varnum and Arthur Varnum. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Pratt was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Pratt. Survivors include three daughters and two son in laws, Brenda Stevenson of Americus, GA, Donna Loyless and husband Gary of Plains, GA, Robin Edwards and husband Jim of Ellaville, GA; four sons and three daughter in laws, Robert Bryant and wife Joyce of Ellaville, GA, David Bryant and wife Rhonda of Albany, GA, Paul Bryant and wife Cindy of Smithville, GA and Darrell Bryant of Ellaville, GA, one sister, Betty Crutchfield of Americus, GA; four brothers, and one sister in law, James Varnum of Andersonville, GA, Al Varnum, Oto Varnum and wife Barbara and Donald Varnum all of Americus, GA. Seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive.
