Marvin G. Miller, Sr., 73, of Box Springs, GA, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Roselane Cemetery with Reverend David Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 15, from 6-8 PM.

Mr. Miller was born in Bradford, Arkansas, on March 3, 1939, to Clarence and Emily Western Miller. He was a Welder by trade. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Miller of Box Springs, GA; two sons, Marvin Gene Miller, Jr. of Box Springs, GA, and Charles and Andrea Allen of McCory, AK; three brothers, Frances Lee and Sandra Miller of Golden Gates, FL, Donald Miller Eustis, FL, and Gerald and Louise Miller of Golden Gates, FL; two sisters, Beverly Carroll of Palm Dale, FL, and Glenda of Eustis, FL; 6 grandchildren, Amber Miller, Tosha Miller, Tamera Allen, Heather, Hunter Lee Miller, and Justin Allen; and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
