Mary Ann Robinson

Mrs. Mary Ann Countryman Robinson, 63, of Americus, passed away after a brief illness on March 14, 2024 at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at Central Baptist Church in Americus on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 4:30PM with Dr. Bryan Myers officiating. Private burial will follow at Benevolence Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.  

Mrs. Robinson was born March 13, 1961 in Americus, GA to the late Charles and Beatrice Harper Countryman.   She was a very outgoing person and loved working at Schley County Schools as a Para-pro and a bus driver.  She was an avid animal lover, and would always do anything she could to help an animal in need. Mrs. Robinson loved being a mother and a grandmother and was always attending events for her grandchildren and her “school kids.” 

Survivors include her husband, Mark Robinson of Americus; three sons, William Bishop, IV and his wife, Jennifer of Ellaville, Travis Bishop and his wife, Shelley of Americus, and Charlie Bishop of Americus; a step-son, Jessie Robinson of Ellaville; eight grandchildren, Channon Biddle, Courtney Wilson, Cierra Bishop, Asher Bishop, Trent Davis, Harper Bishop, Kalli Bishop, Kane Bishop and Chan Robinson; a sister, Ina Countryman of Americus; and several nieces and nephews.
