Michael J. "Mike" Kendrick

Mr. Michael J. “Mike” Kendrick, Sr., 59, of Ellaville passed away on August 2, 2023.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Bro. Stephen Fripp and Rev. Hugh Harbort officiating.  The family will greet friends at the church beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. 

Mike was born July 29, 1964 in Palatka, FL to Tom and Bonnie Shutters Kendrick.  He was known for always joking and cutting up, but he never met a stranger.  Mike worked at many places over the years including Planters True Value Hardware in Ellaville for several years before joining Pine Oak Products as a truck driver.  He loved driving trucks and had a superior work ethic.  Mike loved his family and friends and constantly referred to himself as “The best-looking man in town.”  He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Kendrick.

Survivors include his son, Michael “Mickey” Kendrick, Jr. of Americus; his mother, Bonnie Kendrick of Ellaville; a brother, Tommy Kendrick and his wife, Janice of Americus; a sister, Patty Walker of Smithville, TN; a niece, Deena Kendrick; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 961 Shiloh Rd., Americus, GA 31719.
