Minnie Youngblood

Minnie L. Youngblood of Ozark, Alabama peacefully passed away Friday December 8, 2017. She was at her home shared by her son-in- law and daughter LTC (Retired) Dale and Judy Alldredge. She passed away following a long illness of Alzheimer/dementia.

Graveside funeral services were held at 11:00am on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Buena Vista Cemetery in Buena Vista, Georgia. Brother Ewell Pritchett was presiding. A reception was held at The Buena Vista Church of Christ on Oliver Street immediately following the services. The family greeted friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00pm.

Minnie was born September 20, 1926, in Bluntstown, Florida to Levi and Lovie Morris. She married Grady B. Youngblood on September 3, 1946, and had 3 daughters Theresa, Sharon and Judy. She had lived in Buena Vista since 1974, but had moved to the home of her daughter, Judy Alldredge in the last two years.  She was a member of The Buena Vista Church of Christ. Minnie loved and was devoted to her family and her church throughout her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Chief Warrant Officer Grady B. Youngblood, and three siblings, Dupree Morris, Elaine Wyatt, and Evelyn Owens (Bernest).

She is survived by her three daughters, Theresa Finley Wright of Columbus, GA, Sharon E. Brookins (Michael) of Pine Mountain, GA, and Judy Alldredge (Dale) of Ozark, AL; siblings, Lorraine Sobasky (Daniel), Rudolph Morris (Betty), and Carolyn Roberson; Grandchildren, Tracy Van Meter (Steve) of Catoosa, OK, Jeralyn Buchan (Chris) of Luv, GA, Sheralyn Brogen (Jim) of Byron, GA, Scott Brookins (Kyna) of North Carolina, Jennifer Ammons (Bobby) of Pine Mountain, GA, Jessica Alldredge of Texas and Travis Alldredge of Florida; Great-Grandchildren, Angel, Kristina, Shane, Callie, Amber, and Kayte Van Meter, Hannah and Amelia Buchan, Nathan, Savannah, and Kara Brookins, Joshua and Ashtyn McCain, Aiden Alldredge, and Mason and Blake (Dana Crowden); Great-Great Grandchildren, Skylar Bradshaw, Paisley and Emmalee McCain, C. J., Dustin, Khloe Hunter, Ashlyn, Chase, Jaxson, Sheana, Jordynn, Aaliyah and Dallas, Ta’Mya Hawkins

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
