Mr. Charlie D. Brown

Mr. Charlie Brown, 71, of Cusseta, GA, died Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Reverend Lee Halvorson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Brown was born in Cusseta, GA, on May 20, 1945, to Verner Leigh and Rosa Frances Lipsey Brown. A lifelong resident of Cusseta, GA, he retired from Miller Brewing Company in Albany, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed Brown and Enoch Brown.

He is survived by  two sons Ira Brown and Chad Brown, both of Cusseta, GA; three brothers, Verner Brown of Harris County, Coley Morgan, of Cusseta, GA, and Chris Morgan of Buena Vista, GA; two sisters, Georgia Mae Standridge of Columbus, GA, and Deborah Benton of Cusseta, GA.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
