Mrs. Alice P. Brown

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mrs. Alice Pauline Brown, 84, of Ellaville, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Watson-Giddens Funeral Home on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Father Matt Harlow officiating.  A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Burial with follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, GA.

     Mrs. Brown was born January 12, 1935 in Sumter County, GA to the late Otho E. Sollers and Evenlyn Satterfield.  She loved her family, enjoyed knitting, Cryptograms and going to Alabama concerts.  Mrs. Brown was a member of Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church.

     Survivors include one son, Greg Brown and wife Tammy of Ellaville; and one daughter, Angela Brown of Decorah, IA.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Faith Brown, Elaine Treuttens and husband Mike, Conrad Schulte, Alicia Schulte, Dakota Bird; and one great grandchild, Aden Schulte.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Brown; daughter, Judith Brown, stepdaughter, Kay Brown Courson and stepson, Darrell Courson.

     Pallbearers will include Pete Yarbrough, Emory Jarriel, Cecil Shutters, Mark Shutters, C. J. Yarbrough, and Billy Hodges. 

    Watson-Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville, GA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
